The Seed Guy didn't start in a boardroom or a warehouse; it started in the rich, dark earth of rural Indiana. My journey with heirloom seeds began as a young girl on a family farm, where gardening wasn't just a hobby—it was a way of life. In the heart of the Midwest, surrounded by endless fields of corn and soybeans, I learned the rhythm of the seasons. I remember the feel of the hoe in my hands, the hard work of "busting up clods" to prepare the seedbed, and the quiet magic of sowing precious heirloom seeds that had been passed down through generations.
From watering and weeding under the summer sun to the steam-filled kitchen during canning season, I learned early on that a garden is more than a source of food—it is a source of security.

That foundational passion traveled with me as The Seed Guy was officially born in August of 2012 in the Oklahoma countryside. In 2015, we moved our roots to the beautiful Ozarks, where we continue to grow and serve the homesteading community today.
With over 12 years in business and a lifetime of personal gardening experience, I have seen firsthand how the world of agriculture has changed. While big-box stores moved toward hybrids and GMOs, my mission remained clear: to protect and provide the 100% Non-GMO, Open-Pollinated Heirloom seeds that sustained my family back on that Indiana farm.
